The ESPAnet's 20th Anniversary Conference will take place in Vienna (14 16 September 2022), hosted by the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Vienna and we need your support.
Themes of the conference include the pandemic, the crisis in many geopolitically diverse areas and the resulting migration flows, environmental and economic changes that extend the range of social challenges to be faced by welfare states.
The conference will address how welfare states navigate these troubled times. How they embrace change and pursue a balance between path dependency and innovation.
The 20th ESPAnet Anniversary Conference offers international scholars a place to engage, discuss and present research findings with international social policy academics in Vienna. In addition to paper presentations sessions, the program includes poster sessions and book presentations.
Job Description
• Assistance in the organization of the conference on-site in different capacities
• Support of the guest speakers during sessions
• Checking if computer and beamer in seminar rooms are working
• Uploading presenters power points before the session starts, etc.

Required profile
• Ongoing studies in the Social Sciences or in a related discipline or high motivation
• Very good knowledge of English
• Ability to work in a team, talent for organization and willingness to familiarize with new tasks
• Availability for a short briefing some days prior to the conference (approx. 2 hours)
• First experience in the on-site support of conferences and congresses (desirable)
